Booking Form Settings

The booking form offers a variety of settings.

Some of these settings affect individual booking forms and can be found directly in the Booking Form section.

Other settings affect all booking forms and can be found under Settings > Bookings

Floating Button

The floating button prompts your website visitors to book an appointment with you and opens the booking form on your website with a single click.

The button is enabled by default, but you can replace or supplement it with your own elements. Learn more under Embed the Form.

You can also place the button in different positions on your website. On mobile devices, the floating button is shown at either the top or bottom edge, depending on the position you choose.

The following positions are available:

  • Top left
  • Top right
  • Bottom left
  • Bottom right (default)

You can also edit the text in the floating button.

Phone Number

Enable the phone number in the contact settings of the booking form if leads must provide it when completing their booking. When this setting is enabled, the phone number is required.

Custom Form Fields

Open the booking form you want and its settings. Under Contact settings, you'll find the Custom online form fields.

  1. Click Add form field.
  2. Choose a single-line text field, a multi-line text field, or radio buttons.
  3. Give your question a clear label. For radio buttons, add at least two answer options.
  4. For text fields, specify whether an answer is required. Radio buttons are always required.
  5. Arrange the fields in the order you want using the drag handle, and save the settings.

For example, you can ask about the training goal, the dog's name, or previous yoga experience. The fields apply to this booking form.

Questions and Comments

For the Questions and comments field, you can choose between optional, required, and hidden. Keep in mind, however, that bookings with a question or comment may no longer be confirmable with the Booking Accepted template, since the confirmation text may not address the question.

Accept Requests Automatically

Enabling this setting lets you confirm new bookings automatically, without any manual action.

When this setting is enabled, the following actions are triggered automatically when a new booking comes in:

  1. The new booking is marked as Accepted.
  2. The lead is sent an email based on the Booking Accepted template.
  3. You receive an email notification that the lead has booked an appointment.

Marketing Channels

When leads complete their booking, you can ask them how they heard about you. To do this, add at least two channels under Settings > Bookings. For example:

  • Flyer
  • Social media
  • Word of mouth

The list is automatically supplemented with an "Other..." field where leads can enter any value.

Note for Parents

To get parents to enter their children's names, you can show a note in the contact step of the booking form. This setting lets you specify up to which age the note is shown.

URL Parameter

The URL parameter lets you open your booking form automatically for your visitors when a page loads. By default, we use trial as the parameter name and open as the parameter value.

Example link with the default URL parameter:

https://demo.dns.kampfsport.center?trial=open

If your website setup has problems with our default parameter, you can change it in the settings as needed.

Changing the parameter name also affects the parameters for opening the form with a preselection. For example, if the parameter name is changed from trial to probetraining, the parameter trial-select changes to probetraining-select and trial-id becomes probetraining-id.

As a link, this would look like this:

https://demo.dns.kampfsport.center?probetraining=open
