New Feature: Class Registration Is in the Works

On May 11, Swiss martial arts schools are allowed to reopen, albeit under very difficult conditions.

Since training is limited to a maximum of five people (including the instructor) per room, this brings new and very demanding challenges that have to be mastered. Not only how to run a class without direct body contact, but also how members can register for a class. We are working on a solution that can be used by any sport.

Until now, registering for individual classes was usually not an issue – members could simply show up at the time they wanted. With the restrictions mentioned above, that is no longer possible, and a registration process for individual classes is needed to cope with the enormous effort. For small clubs with ten members, that may not be a problem. But with 50, 100, 200 members or more, it's a different story. Among other things, you need to solve:

• How do members register for a class?
• What happens when a class has reached the maximum number of people allowed? And how can you prevent that limit from being exceeded?
• With such restrictive measures, all members need to have the chance to attend a class. So who gets to come to class, and when? How can you guarantee that every member gets the chance to register for a class?
• How can I keep track of who was in class and when? Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to inform members that they were in class at the same time as someone who tested positive for Covid-19.

Just thinking about having to handle these problems with phone calls, emails and Excel spreadsheets gives me a headache. Anyone who knows us and has used our trial class software knows that we are not fans of tedious manual processes. That's why we decided to go full throttle and develop a solution to the problems above, so that we can hopefully give all martial arts schools a hand with the registration process at least, starting May 11 (or as soon as possible).

Our branding is aimed at martial arts schools, but the solution can be used by any sports club.

Our revenue has currently dropped to practically zero, since we have been offering all trial class software subscriptions free of charge temporarily since the end of March as a gesture of solidarity.
