Your calendar is part of booking planning.

A free morning in the weekly schedule isn't automatically a free morning in real life. Add holidays, training and appointments from external calendars to your team's working hours.

Connect existing calendars

Your team can keep using the calendar they know.

Link the external calendar to the respective person in keinaufwand. Google Calendar, iCloud and Microsoft 365 are supported.

Take external events into account: Calendar events are imported as absences. Those times are then not available as open working hours when the person's bookings are planned.
Set up per person: The connection belongs to the individual team member. That way, different staff members can use different calendar services.

Holidays & one-off interruptions

Enter when you're not available.

You can also enter holidays and training directly in keinaufwand. You don't need to connect an external calendar for that.

Full days or individual hours: Enter multi-day holidays or an absence with a start and end time. In the example, Lea is away for a week during the fall break and at a training course one morning on another day.
Maintain it for the right person: The overview shows the absences of the selected team member. That makes it easy to see why a person can't be booked during a certain period.

Bookings in your external calendar

See appointments where you plan your day.

Set one main calendar connection per person. Bookings from keinaufwand are also synced with the external calendar through this connection.

One main calendar for bookings: The main connection determines in which connected calendar bookings appear. Other connected calendars can provide absences.
Regular syncing: Syncing happens every ten minutes, not in real time. The first sync imports future absences and bookings – keep this interval in mind for short-notice changes.

Questions about calendars and absences

Which calendar services can I connect?

Google Calendar, iCloud and Microsoft 365. Setup is done for each staff member. The help center describes how to sign in and which permissions each provider requires.

Is the sync visible immediately?

Syncing runs every ten minutes. A change you just made may therefore only be picked up in the next run. For time-critical changes, check availability directly in keinaufwand.

Are past appointments imported too?

The first sync takes future absences and bookings into account. The connection is meant for ongoing appointment scheduling.

Do I need an external calendar to enter holidays?

No. Absences can be entered directly for each person in keinaufwand – for full days or with specific times.
