Looking Back at 2019, Online Course Registration and Nearly 1,000,000 Trial Class Form Views
3 min read
It's been quiet on our blog this year. That doesn't mean we've been sitting idle, though. Based on a variety of feedback from our customers, we implemented a number of improvements to our trial class software and websites this year. You can find everything that's new on our updates page.
Besides these various improvements, there were also two bigger new developments. Early this year, we built a closed API that makes it possible to export data from our admin panel so it can be reused in other applications. This makes it possible, for example, to develop more complex custom websites without having to reinvent the wheel for managing records. Fittingly, we got to redesign the website of the Krav Maga Self Protect Association, which has been running successfully since mid-November, with our platform managing its content.
We also took a detour into the world of nutrition counseling, auto repair shops and fitness centers during the usual summer lull.
Our platform is really good at booking trial class appointments based on set, fixed class times. When it comes to appointments based on time slots, however, we unfortunately couldn't help until now. With keinaufwand, that changed this year. keinaufwand brings the same standard of appointment scheduling that we offer martial arts schools with kampfsport.center to all other businesses that want to schedule appointments based on specific opening hours. The platform is currently still in beta and can be tested if you're interested.
What's next in 2020?
We're currently developing our course management module, which will let our customers publish courses and events and accept online registrations. Just like with booking trial class appointments, we want to give leads an easy way to sign up for beginner courses, belt exams, weekend seminars and every other kind of event, without having to download, print, fill out, scan, fax and send PDF documents or paper contracts. That may have been one of the only options back in the early 2000s, but today it's outdated and customer-unfriendly. If you have questions about the implementation and how best to use the module for your school, just send me an email at daniel@codegestalt.com.
But before we wish you happy holidays, we have one more short but interesting insight to share.
New Year's resolutions and nearly one million trial class form views

The image above shows the traffic to our trial class form this year. In total, it was requested nearly one million times by more than 150,000 people. A new record!
Thanks to our sophisticated algorithm, numbers this high pose zero problems for our servers and allow us to give every one of your visitors the opportunity to book a trial class with you at any time and without interruption. To make all of this possible, our form has to load fast, which in turn means more trial class bookings for you.
What's also interesting about the traffic numbers above is that most views happen after New Year's and after the summer holidays. So targeted advertising around New Year's and late-summer resolutions is a must. And with the help of our form, we make it easier than ever to turn those resolutions into action as quickly as possible. So if you're not using our form yet, there's no better time than now, because if you sign up with us before the end of the year, you can test our platform for free until the end of January.
With that, we wish you all happy holidays and a successful, great start to 2020. See you soon.
